Alter 23 - Mental Misstep
A legacy staple, and maybe even Standard playable at some point. This card will be around for a while, and I think I might even just do 4 of these. I have 2 Japanese ones as well... hmm. :)
I don't tape it off, you use a generally steady hand, then (I know this sounds weird) you use a toothpick to get any of the paint off that went over the lines. It allows you to use reasonable strokes and still clean up the card afterward. You do try to get it as close as you can before that, but the toothpicks are a lifesaver.
What's your technique when painting around the text boxes? Is it just a steady hand? Or do you tape it off? Another great alter by the way.
